My Lectures

I give lectures to photo clubs/groups in the North London and surrounding areas. I would be prepared to travel further were the circumstances suitable - contact me if you are interested.

I am booked to give the following lecture:
3rd January 2018 'Pictures in an Exhibition', Field End Photographic Society, Ruislip, Middlesex.
24th January 2018 'Pictures in an Exhibition', Loughton Camera Club, Loughton, Essex.
8th February 2018 'Grand Tour of China', Harlow Photographic Society, Harlow, Essex.
4th May 2018, 'Grand Tour of China', Witham Camera Club, Witham, Essex.

Towards an 'A' and a 'D' - print lecture.
This is my second print lecture. I talk about two or three more years of my club photography. That links into my approach to gaining my ARPS and my DPAGB. I show both panels of work. An ARPS is the Associateship award of the Royal Photographic Society and the DPAGB is the Distinction award of the PAGB. My talk works better if I can display the 15 images on one display board after first showing them on a print easel. I am happy to give advice to anyone considering their 'C' or 'D' awards of the PAGB.

Pictures in an exhibition, BPEs and FIAPs - print lecture.
In my third print lecture I show images that have been successful for me in British Photographic Exhibitions (BPE) and in Federation International de l'Art Photographique (FIAP) exhibitions along with some that I thought might be successful but weren't. I'll explain how I got into entering exhibitions and how you can do that too.

People and places of SE Asia - digital projected lecture.
This travelogue shows Mike and my journey to Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. An amazing journey through fascinating places with wonderful people. This lecture is given jointly with Mike. Clubs would need to provide a laptop computer and digital projector for us to give this lecture. All of our expenses (and donations) go to the Luang Prabang Orphanage. For more information about the orphanage click here.

A Grand Tour of China - digital projected lecture.
The China we saw was colourful, lively and varied. We take the viewer on a trip from Beijing to Shanghai with several sites in between - Xi'an, Wuhan, Chongqing, Chengdu, Dali, Kunming, Guilin, Yangshou, Hangzhou and Suzhou. As this is another travelogue all of our expenses (and donations) will go to the Luang Prabang Orphanage.

If you would like me to give a lecture to your club please send me a message via my Contact page.
