Harlow Photographic Society

I have been a member of Harlow PS since 2005.
Harlow PS is a very friendly club and I would recommend it to anyone.
Our evenings start at 7.30pm for 7.45pm. Venue is the Moot House at The Stow shopping area, Harlow. Post code for the venue is CM20 3AG.

For more info on my club go to http://www.harlowphotoclub.org.uk to be taken directly to my club's website.

Recent club nights.
Thursday 10th June was our Print of the Year competition. It was judged by Bernard Turnbull who gave us an entertaining as well as informative evening. His choice for the first place was a monochrome portrait by one of our newer, younger members. Good choice, it is a cracking shot.

Thursday 17th June was our Projected Image of the Year competition. A win for another of the new members. An imaginative image reliving memories from the photographer's childhood days.

Future club nights
Harlow PS is now on its summer break and starts again on Thursday 2nd September. If you'd like to see which of our images won or did well last season, come along to our first meeting when those images will be shown and the members concerned will collect their awards. Come and talk to us and find out what we do. We go to the bar after our meeting to chat where you can ask questions you may have.

Viewfinder, our news magazine.
We have a newsletter which contains articles from members, showcases images that have done well for members and will contain Tips and Tricks for your camera and Photoshop techniques. The Tips and Tricks is a new project that I will be co-ordinating. Everyone has something to give and to learn. There will also be a few members who will write on how they take photos for their given speciality e.g. landscape, e.g. portraiture. If you are new to photography these articles should help you to improve your photography. Copies of recent Viewfinders can be found on the Harlow website, click on the club link above.
